just paypalled steiner for another RAC helmet and ordered a leather chin strap from SOF so i will have a spare helmet for loaning out after autumn mist in december.( in fact, if i bring a few tools and fixings we will have a spare helmet AT autumn mist)

Well I need to have a chat with Yith, evo and Woodlander about stuff.
Essentially Woodlander was kind enough to show us some 1944 pamphlet material on the organisation of rifle sections and it turns out that it was a possibility for glider platoons to have 7 man sections.
For airsoft purposes where ten blokes can be a bit unwieldy I have a sneaky feeling this is the way forwards for training purposes.
If we do do that it basically creates '3 section' and gives us a full platoon fething *driving* or what eh?
However as said need to work out how to impliment any or all the materials in the manuals and it requires a chat between said chaps.

If *half* of our number turn up to a game we can field a full strength section and HQ *or* two 'airborne' sections of 7 men.
Nominally I think we'll be looking at training and gaming with 7 man sections and 3 man HQs with any extra guys who turn up (say in utter unlikeliness all 27 of us show up) deployed to bulk out the rifle sections giving us a full strenght of 3 x 8man rifle sections and a 3 man HQ.
That my friends would be impressive to say the least.
Essentially we could now provide the *entire* opfor for even a large wwii game.
